Overview

SkipChat is designed to be privacy-first and account-free. We collect only the minimal operational data needed to run scheduled live rounds, keep the Service safe, and understand aggregate usage.

Information we collect

Session and connection data: temporary session identifiers, queue and match state, round timings, and connection quality signals used to operate matching and live video.

Eligibility signals: a record that you confirmed you are 18 or older and passed the entry safety check.

Device and coarse region data: limited technical details and a coarse region or timezone used to determine availability windows and to operate the Service.

Safety and moderation data: reports you submit and records related to moderation actions and bans.

Information we do not collect

We do not require accounts, names, or public profiles. The Service is not designed to store recordings of your video or audio rounds, and we do not retain chat content as part of analytics.

Our analytics never include raw video or audio, raw chat text, raw IP addresses, exact location, or other direct personal identifiers — only categories, timings, states, and outcomes.

How we use information

We use this information to operate availability windows and matching, deliver live rounds, enforce 18+ eligibility, detect and respond to abuse, and measure the Service in aggregate so we can improve it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential storage and a bot-protection challenge (Cloudflare Turnstile) to secure entry to the lobby, plus privacy-preserving analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.

How information is shared

We share data with infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) that host and protect the Service, acting on our behalf. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or protect the safety of participants.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Temporary session and matching data is short-lived and used only to operate live rounds. Reports and moderation records may be retained longer to investigate abuse, prevent repeat harm, and operate bans.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. Because the Service is anonymous and account-free, we may need enough operational detail to locate any relevant record before acting on a request.

You can stop using the Service at any time and can leave or report a match during a round.

International transfers

The Service runs on globally distributed infrastructure, so data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

SkipChat is strictly for adults 18 and older and is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we remove access where underage use is identified.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes take effect when we post the updated policy, and the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
